Celebrate Mark Twain's 174th Birthday Party at 7 p.m. Friday at the Gold Hill Hotel.
McAvoy Layne will appear as Mark Twain and Squeek Steele will provide piano entertainment.
Gold Hill's Executive Chef Randy Bryant has created a five-course dinner for the occasion.
After dinner, guests will retire to the great room and sit in front of the fireplace to listen to Mark's Twain's tales from his life in Virginia City, Gold Hill, Carson City and Lake Tahoe
