Roy Dowling, 68, a 40-year resident of Nevada and long-time resident of Carson City, died Nov. 10, 2009, at his home in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 6, 1941, in Kittanning, Pa. Among his survivors are children Kevin Dowling of Portland, Ore., Tari Zimmerman of Grays River, Wash., and Melanie Bittner of Las Vegas; sister Myrna Wolfram of Las Vegas and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at noon Friday at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Dr., Henderson, NV 89011. Valley Funeral Home, Las Vegas is in charge of arrangements.
