Roger Kirby Maillard

A Celebration of Life will be held for Roger Maillard (72) on October 11, 2009 between 2:00 and 4:00 P.M. at the Brewery Arts Center Black box Theater, 449 W. King Street, Carson City, Nevada.

Roger died in Carson City after a long illness. He was born in Dover, New Jersey and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After serving an enlistment in the Navy and living in San Francisco and Mexico City, he came to Carson City over 35 years ago. He retired for the Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation.

In the past Roger was a member of the Carson City Search and Rescue, an EMT and a Carson City Sheriff's Reserve Deputy. He also helped start the EMT/Paramedic training courses at Western Nevada Community College. More recently he was very active in Proscenium Players, Inc, the Retirees Chapter of AFSCME and Retired Public Employees of Nevada (RPEN).

Roger is survived by his companion, Eloise Koenig, daughters and sons-in law Kelly and Robert Pawley, Kristina and Jonathan Crandell and grandchildren Meagan Myer, Nicholas DiCianno and Elisabeth Crandell, all of Carson City.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
