Paul Joseph Ries Jr., 74, a 14-year resident of Yerington, died Sept. 16, 2009, at Regent Care Center in Reno. He is survived by his wife Shirley; children Father James Ries, Jonathan Ries and Rhonda Shumaker; brother Milo Ries and sisters Wilma (Sylvester) Ploessl, Mary Ann Knudson and Martha (Travis) Holden; two grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Oct. 10 at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208, Yerington. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.FRFH.net.
