Carson High readies for Homecoming

Carson High School homecoming king candidates are, back row from left, Scotty Atchian, Merrill Asp, Erik Roberson, Blake Plattsmier, Steven Chaparro and Uriel Duran. Following a longstanding school tradition, the candidates were "shanghai'd" early Wednesday morning by leadership students who took them out of bed and gave them special outfits to wear for the day.

A Homecoming parade and bonfire will be at 6 p.m., followed by a school assembly on Friday.

The king and queen will be announced during halftime of Friday's football game. The dance will follow.
