Despite an ever increasing number of bariatric procedures being performed, little research has been done into examining the adjustments that couples may experience following weight loss surgery.
University of Nevada Reno Nursing professor Dr. Christine Aramburu Alegria is recruiting participants for her research study examining couple relationships following weight loss surgery.
Heterosexual couples in which the female partner has had weight loss surgery are needed for participation. Findings from this study may help couples in the future as they adjust to weight loss surgery.
