Congressman Bartine has the thanks of the Appeal editor for a package of new seed wheat. Our crop was a little short and the seed sent us by Bartine came just in time. Bartine is the sort of Congressman we like to see.

Hungry Cat: Milkman Albert Leedeman took a look behind him as he was making deliveries ... he decided he was being followed. Missing from the doorsteps were 111⁄2 gallons of milk.

Carson defeated Reno 14-0 in frosh football in Carson. The game opened with Aaron Rajs returning the opening kick off 48 yards ... four plays later John Sullivan scored on a four-yard-run.
