Bikers take over town

The Harley-Davidson dealership put on its annual event to coincide with Reno's Street Vibrations. Bikers thronged to the Carson City Harley-Davidson off College Parkway in droves Saturday. According to Howard Houghton, a consultant who helps the dealership host the Carson City event, "there are thousands of bikers here today, tens of thousands." Houghton said he believes the Carson City venue is the best in Northern Nevada for entertainment and vendors as well as having everything in one place. "It's one big party," he said. "And bikers will ride 400-500 miles a day, but they won't walk a mile."
