Urban Trends, a home furnishing and decor store at 385 Hot Springs Road, will be closing within a month, said Richard Ludwig, an interior decorator for the 9-year-old business.
Ludwig said the sluggish housing sector has hampered their business, leading to the business liquidating its entire inventory.
"We are closely aligned to the housing industry and it's been very challenging," he said. "We had a great seven-year run while things were booming in the Carson real estate market."
The store has so far sold about half of its inventory. They are planning on staying open until May 1, "but I don't know if we'll have enough inventory to last that long," Ludwig said.
