A Buddy Holly Sock Hop will resurrect rock 'n' roll and reprise the fabulous '50s for the young and young-at-heart from 7-10 p.m. April 10 in the Brewery Arts Center's Grand Ballroom.
Bob Reid and the Rave-Ons will play live renditions of rollicking rock that captivated generations and still resonates today, including the Buddy Holly hits "Peggy Sue," "Rave on" and "That'll Be the Day."
The Rave Ons are Reid on keyboards and some vocals, Brad Lund on bass and lead vocals, Joe Shelley on sax, and Herbie Weihskopf, drums.
The dance is a fundraising event to support ongoing and community outreach programs at St. Peter's.
Tickets cost $60 single, $100 a couple. Tickets may be obtained a the Brewery Arts Center's Web site at www.breweryarts.org. Click on Community Events.
