Forecast: 1 to 3 inches of snow expected tonight

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday to 9 a.m. Monday as a cold weather system continues to pass through the region. Road conditions are expected to be slick during the Monday morning commute, but improve after 9 a.m.

Forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Snow. Low around 29. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.
