Sertoma schedules night of music

The Carson Sertoma Club's "Family Fun Night of Music" is

6-9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.

The event is a fundraiser for local children with hearing and speech disorders, cancer and diabetes.

In addition to a lineup of family music, the event features a tri-tip dinner, plus raffle prizes and silent auction. A no-host table will be set up to purchase drinks.

Featured performers will be Chris Bayer's ragtime band Large Bills Accepted, the Chorus of The Comstock singing barbershop and patriotic songs, David Bugli and his jazz group "Millennium Bugs," and Bob Carroll of KUNR offering "The Music of America.".

Ticket prices are $25, $20 for seniors and students, and can be purchased at the door or at Pip Printing, Q's BBQ Restaurant, Decades Lounge, or by calling 885-7579.

All proceeds benefit the Carson School For the Hard of Hearing, and local children's support groups for cancer and diabetes.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Carson Sertoma Club, P.O. Box 65, Carson City, NV 89702.
