The original "Tree of Love,"created in 1988 by Eleanor Whitney Nelson, hangs in the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center on the second floor. Today, it is completely filled with engraved leaves of loved ones.

The Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary has created a new "Wave of Love" that will eventually display about 200 leaves, which will be individually engraved with loved ones names. It is displayed close to the gift shop in the lobby of the medical center.

The sculpture is a unique way to recognize those who have made donations to the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary's memorial fund.

Gifts of Love may be made at any time as a way to remember a loved one who has recently died or to celebrate a birth, anniversary, recognize a birthday or graduation.

All donations to this memorial fund are tax deductible to the fullest extent as permitted by state and federal law.

For more information, contact Joy, chairperson of the "Wave of Love" at 882-3936. Donations may also be made by simply sending your donation, along with the name of the person you wish to recognize or remember to:

Memorial Chairperson, Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary, c/o Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, P.O. Box 2168, Carson City, NV 89702
