Health Inspections for Aug. 25

The following health inspections are for the period of Aug. 10-16:

• McDonald's #2282 Restaurant, 2001 N. Carson St., scored 98 points. Found ice scoop lying in bottom of main ice machine. Observed employee place bucket on ice in bottom of main ice machine while scooping ice into it. PVP pipes located in the ceiling in the basement are leaking again.

• Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada Food Facility, 1870 S. Russell Way, scored 100 points.

• Doppelgangers Bar & Grill Patio Bar, 302 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Doppelgangers Bar & Grill Pizzaria, 302 N. Carson St., scored 98 points. Found food containers stored directly on top of uncovered pizza toppings in the make-up unit.

• Doppelgangers Bar & Grill Main Kitchen, 302 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Feisty Goat Bar/Lounge, 1881 E. Long St., scored 98 points. Speed gun holster needs clearing. Ice machine is dirty.

• Nieves Snowcones Mobile Ice Cream Vehicle, 4637 Carter Ave., scored 100 points.

• Thurman's Ranch House Bar/Lounge, 2943 Hwy. 50 East, scored 98 points. The speed gun nozzle is dirty.

• Thurman's Ranch House Restaurant, 2943 Hwy. 50 East, scored 92 points. Found PHF salad dressings at 50-60 F. in ice baths in the kitchen and at the outer drink station. Found containers of salads (potato, tuna, cottage cheese) with internal temperatures of 50 F. inside the salad reach-in in the kitchen. Ambient temperature of this unit is at 45 F. One cloth bucket in the kitchen had no residual chlorine sanitizer in it. Numerous wiping cloths were lying about with no residual sanitizer in them. Roof of main ice machine is dirty. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Nice & Easy Catering, 5389 Carroll Blvd., Sun Valley, scored 95 points. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces did not contain enough sanitizer residual. The screens for the stove ventilation fans were missing. There was no certified food handler present at the time of this inspection.

• JM Gasoline's Finx Hot Dogs Restaurant, 1321 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• JM Gasoline's Convenience Store, 1321 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Jacksons #139 Convenience Store, 1615 E. Fifth St., scored 100 points.
