Obituary: Howard Allen Landis

Howard Allen Landis, 60, of Carson City died Dec. 3, 2010. He was born Aug. 22, 1950, in Roseburg, Ore., to Richard and Virginia Landis. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife Kathy Jo; sons Sam and his wife Tara, and Joe Landis; father Richard Landis; stepmother Betty Landis; sister Louise Hafferkamp and husband Ed; brother-in-law Robert Hagemann; sister-in-law Linda Hagemann; one granddaughter, four nephews and one niece. A service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, followed by a celebration of life at 12:30 p.m. at Red's Old 395 in Carson City. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, American Cancer Society or Nevada Wildlife Foundation. Capitol City Cremation & Burial is in charge of arrangements.
