LAS VEGAS (AP) - More than 3 million passengers arrived and departed from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas in January, down two-tenths of a percent from a year earlier.
In January 2009 there were 5,699 more passengers than there were this January.
The airport also said Tuesday that among the top five scheduled airlines serving McCarran, two - Southwest and American - saw an increase in passengers. Southwest's increase was 6.1 percent and American's was 4.7 percent.
Three airlines - Delta, United and U.S. Airways - saw a decline in passengers. U.S. Airways was by far the biggest decrease at 43.6 percent. Delta had a 1 percent decrease and United had 2.4 percent fewer passengers.
