Obituary: Marvin Eugene Ballard

Marvin Eugene Ballard, 78, a resident of Carson City for over 30 years, was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Hollywood, Calif., and passed away Jan. 3, 2010, in Carson City. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Botten of Apple Valley, Calif.; son, John Ballard of Apple Valley, Calif.; sister, Barbara Gray of Dayton; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St., Carson City. Burial will follow in the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
