A Carson City man who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess child pornography was sentenced to probation Tuesday and must register as a sex offender.

Judge Todd Russell gave Kevin Richard Wilborn, 26, a suspended jail sentence of 12 months, with probation not to exceed two years. Russell also ordered Wilborn to register as a sex offender. He was initially charged with possession of child pornography.

Wilborn was arrested in September after his estranged wife allegedly found pornographic pictures of children on his computer.

"Two of the pictures included young girls that appeared to be no older than 10 years of age and in no way (did they) appear to be even close to 16 years of age," the police report states.

Wilborn denied knowing there were images of anyone younger than 18 on the computer.

Also Tuesday, a Carson City man pleaded guilty to a charge of felony attempted statutory sexual seduction.

Jason Parnham, 34, was arrested in November after having sex with the 15-year-old daughter of a friend.

In October, Parnham picked up the girl and took her to his home for sex, according to court records. After that encounter, the girl and Parnham exchanged

e-mails and text messages, referencing the encounter, which led to her parents' discovery of the relationship.

Parnham faces four years in prison when sentenced March 29.
