Airport VBS explores the high seas

The Airport Road Church of Christ invites children to High Seas Expedition: Exploring the Mighty Love of God.

A summer kids' event will be hosted at the Airport Road Church of Christ from July 12-16.

VBS is for kids ages 3 through middle school and will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each evening. For more information or to pre-register, call 220-1805 or e-mail us at arcoc@sbcglobal.net.

Vacation Bible school is Hero HeadQuarters

"Kids join forces with God" at Hero HeadQuarters for the First United Methodist Church of Carson City vacation Bible school.

The program is July 12-16 at the church located at Division and Musser streets.

Christian women to meet in Reno

Sierra Christian Women's Club monthly luncheon is schedule for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. July 20 at Tamarack Junction, 13101 S. Virginia Street, Reno.

Sharon Olson will share her life involvement in fashion consulting and staying motivated despite personal tragedies. She will also give practical advice about fashion, color and styles that enhance or conceal.

Methodists plan

ice cream social

The United Methodist Women will host an ice cream social 6-8 p.m. July 22 at the Carson City First United Methodist Church.

The Capital City Community Band will entertainment from 6-7 p.m.

Line forms at the Musser Street entrance for the homemade pies, cakes and ice cream. Hot dogs in a bun and salads are also available for those who wish to make it complete meal.
