Senior Follies heads to 'Paree'

Let the 2010 Senior Follies take you away with "Seniors in Paree!" 7 p.m. July 30 and 2 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 1 at the Carson City Community Center.

Along the banks of the Seine you will meet some interesting men "Standing on the Corner Watching All the Girls Go By." And at the Cafe de la Paix, you'll see the ladies have champagne every day around three. The cast is smaller, however, the singing, comedy and dancing have never been better. You will see familiar faces and recognize a variety of songs.

Be prepared to tap your feet, clap your hands and sing along.

Tickets are $10. The follies are produced by the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.

'Fairy Tale Detective' is on the job

Wild Horse Children's Theater Summer On Broadway 2010 presents "Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective."

In this delightful audience-participation mystery, Nick Tickle tries to uncover the mystery of the missing props in Fairy Tale Land. Where did Hansel & Gretel's breadcrumbs go? Help find the rose from Beauty & The Beast and the glass slipper from Cinderella and much more.

Performances are 7 p.m. July 30 and 4 p.m. and

7 p.m. July 31 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City. The show also will be performed as part of Artown in Reno at 1:30 p.m. July 30 at Miguel Ribera auditorium.

Ballet fundraiser at Jimmy G's

Pinkerton Ballet Theatre hosts a fundraiser, 6-10 p.m. today at Jimmy G's Cigar Bar, 311 N. Carson St., Carson City. Event features food, beer and a silent auction to benefit this year's production of "The Nutcracker" ballet. Tickets are $20, available at 230-1915.
