Three young men received their Eagle Scout Awards at a ceremony July 17 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on McKay Drive in Carson City.

Brennan Shaffer, 19, a 2010 Carson High School graduate, is the son of Keith and Karen Shaffer. Logan Philippi, 18, a senior at CHS, is the son of Roger and Brijet Philippi. And Adam Peterson, 14, a freshmen at CHS, is the son of Doug and Lisa Peterson

The awards ceremony took place in the pavilion at the church where the young men performed their respective Eagle Scout Projects. With the help of many volunteers Brennan laid down rocks and sod for landscaping, Logan planted trees, shrubs and ran irrigation lines, and Adam raised funds and installed a large barbecue at the site.
