Donald Foster McFadden passed away July 20, 2010, at the age of 81. He was born in Lewiston, Idaho, Dec. 11, 1928, to Foster McFadden and Muriel (Hanks) McFadden. Don grew up at Cream Ridge, attending school in a one room school house. He graduated from Orofino High School in 1946, where he was active in music, drama, and art. Don moved to Portland, Ore., with his parents, graduating from Cascade College in 1955 and Western Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary in 1956.

While pastor at Overland Park United Brethren, he married Rosetta Ballard in 1959. In 1964, Don, Rosetta, and their daughter Malah moved to Carson City, and together started Kinderland Nursery School, combining her teaching degree and experience, and his creative arts background, with service. To supplement income, Don worked as a janitor before starting his own service, Better Building Maintenance, which he operated until his retirement.

Don is survived by his wife and daughter. There was a private viewing with arrangements made by Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
