Chris Manship drove in five runs with two two-run homers and a sacrifice fly, and Jon Sigado also drove in five runs to lead the Nevada Bighorns to a 16-10 win over the Walnut Creek Crawdads Thursday at Western Nevada College.

Manship's two-run blast in the first inning gave the Bighorns a quick 2-0 lead. In the second, the Bighorns added three more to make it 5-0. Sigado drove in two with his first double of the game and then scored on a wild pitch.

Nevada scored three in the third to make it 8-2, as Sigado hit another two-run single.

The Crawdads scored six, tying the game at 8. Ryan Shepard walked in two runs to make it 8-4. A wind-blown three-run double off reliever Cameron Mayville and a groundball single tied the game at 8.

The damage could have been worse had right fielder Shane Kockenmeister not thrown out a runner at third base.

Kockenmeister followed that play up in the fifth by belting a two-run homer to make it 10-8.

Manship's second blast of the contest made it 12-8. The Bighorns tacked on four more runs to end the scoring.

Mayville, the winning pitcher, allowed three runs in three innings. Eric Maupin pitched a scoreless ninth, striking out two.

The teams will play again today at 3 p.m. at John L. Harvey Field.
