Renegades win in extras

The Carson City Renegades, an All-Start team for 9-10 year-olds defeated North Valleys 6-5 in seven innings on Tuesday.

The Renegades were trailing but tied it up to force extra innings. In the seventh, Brandon Gagnon hit a triple and scored the winning run on Copeland Sargent's groundout.

Gagnon ended the game 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a homer. He had 2 RBIs. Sargent was 3-for-3 with a double and the RBI.

The Renegades continue bracket play at 5:30 p.m. today against Washoe. A win today and the Renegades are in the championship game.
