Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Michael Putz, 27, a welder from Carson City, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery. He allegedly beat his brother with a chain while his brother slept. According to the arrest report, Putz kept police at bay for about an hour. Officers shot him with bean bag rounds and he also was bitten by a K-9 during his arrest. Bail was set at $33,132.

• Robert Weaver, 44, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Como Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon, misdemeanor obstructing and felony failure to register address. Bail was set at $4,088.

• Marcella Montes, 30, of Carson City, was arrested at 5 p.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of Desatoya Drive on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child neglect, misdemeanor violation of bail. Bail was set at $5,500.

• Matthew Eckman, 18, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a concealed weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon. Bail was set at $5,000.

• Jesus Torres, 38, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. Saturday at Fifth Street and Saliman Road on suspicion of felony possession of a firearm, battery with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor domestic battery. He is being held without bail on an immigration hold after admitting he was in the country illegally, according to the report.

• A 27-year-old Department of Taxation employee from Carson City was arrested at 4:54 a.m. Sunday on Latigo Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was an unemployed Carson City man on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

• Mitchell Tyler Wolley, 20, of Sparks, was arrested at 3:11 p.m. Sunday on Chimney Beach on suspicion of felony probation violation and minor consuming alcohol. No bail was set.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• Felony arrest on Parkland Way in Fernley at 3:10 a.m.

• Coroner call on Jill Court in at 9:53 a.m. in Fernley.

• Report of a man acting oddly in a Smith Valley business at 4:17 p.m. "He brought his own food into the restaurant and was asked to leave." A felony arrest was made.
