LeBron leads Cavaliers to victory

CLEVELAND (AP) - LeBron James had 40 points, 13 rebounds and six assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat Detroit 99-92 on Friday night in a game delayed when Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey collapsed late in the third quarter.

The Pistons said Stuckey's vital signs were stable, and he was conscious and breathing on his own at the Cleveland Clinic. He will remain there overnight after being transported there for tests.

Stuckey was wheeled off the court on a stretcher after he collapsed and fell unconscious into strength coach Arnie Kander's arms on the bench. Play was halted for 12 minutes as the medical staff worked on him, placing an oxygen mask on his face and wheeling him into an ambulance.

Tayshaun Prince had 23 points and Richard Hamilton added 20 for Detroit, which lost its sixth straight.

Mavericks 108, Kings 100

DALLAS (AP) - Dirk Nowitzki had 31 points and 12 rebounds, rookie Roddy Beaubois added a career-high 22 points and the Dallas Mavericks extended their season-high winning streak to 10 games with a victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Beaubois went 9 for 14 from the field and 3 for 6 on 3-pointers in 24-plus minutes, taking advantage of the absence of the team's No. 2 scorer, injured guard Jason Terry.

With the victory that improved the leagues' longest active streak, the Mavericks clinched their 10th consecutive season over .500.

Carl Landry had 21 points, and Beno Udrih and Tyreke Evans each added 20 for the Kings, who'd won three of their previous four.

Bobcats 98, Lakers 83

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Stephen Jackson scored 21 points, Gerald Wallace added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and the Charlotte Bobcats handed the weary Los Angeles Lakers their second straight loss.

With Michael Jordan watching courtside in Charlotte's first win since he agreed to buy the team, the Bobcats continued their surprising success against the defending champions, who had little energy a night after an overtime loss in Miami.

Kobe Bryant had 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting for the Lakers, who shot 36 percent, committed 20 turnovers and lost to Charlotte for the seventh time in nine meetings.

Raptors 102, Knicks 96

TORONTO (AP) - Sonny Weems scored a career-high 20 points, Jose Calderon had 16 and the Toronto Raptors snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the New York Knicks.

Jarrett Jack and Amir Johnson each scored 14 and Hedo Turkoglu had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who won on a night when All-Star Chris Bosh was forced to go to hospital with severe stomach cramps an hour before the tip.

David Lee had 23 points and 18 rebounds for the Knicks, who have lost 11 of 13.

Celtics 96, 76ers 86

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Rajon Rondo had 16 points and 11 assists, Kevin Garnett scored 22 points and the Boston Celtics handed the Philadelphia 76ers their fifth straight loss.

Ray Allen scored 16 points and Glen Davis had 12 for the Celtics. The aging Celtics - they just added Michael Finley - couldn't put away the lowly Sixers until the end.

Rondo missed a dunk down the lane that the Sixers used to score two free throws on the other end and slice the deficit to 90-85. The Celtics didn't let the Sixers score a field goal over the final three minutes and sealed it from the free-throw line to win their third straight game.

Lou Williams led the Sixers with 22 points, and Elton Brand had 17.

Bucks 102, Wizards 74

WASHINGTON (AP) - Andrew Bogut led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds despite sitting out the fourth quarter, and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Washington Wizards for their eighth victory in their last nine games.

Carlos Delfino also scored 19 points for Milwaukee, and John Salmons added 17.

Bogut also had four assists and anchored the Bucks' strong defense, which limited the Wizards to 38 percent shooting and a season-low 10 assists.

Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee led Washington with 13 points apiece.

Hawks 127, Warriors 122

ATLANTA (AP) - Josh Smith scored a season-high 29 points and Al Horford added 27 points and 15 rebounds as the surging Atlanta Hawks held off the Golden State Warriors.

Atlanta, which has won four straight and six of seven, improved to 25-7 at home. The Hawks had six players in double figures, including Mike Bibby, who had a season-high 23 points, and Jamal Crawford, who scored 12 of his 14 in the final quarter.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors, who lost their third in a row and fifth in six games, with 31 points. Golden State dropped its ninth consecutive road game and fell to 4-26 away from home.

Magic 97, Nets 87

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Matt Barnes scored 14 of his 16 points in the first quarter when Orlando opened a double-digit lead and the Magic won their fourth straight by beating the New Jersey Nets.

Vince Carter scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, Dwight Howard added 11 points and 16 rebounds and the Magic hit 13 3-pointers in beating the Nets for the third time this season.

Jameer Nelson had 15 points and eight of the Magic's 24 assists in the game that was never close.

Devin Harris had 17 points and 10 assists for the Nets (6-55), who lost their third straight after stunning Boston last weekend.

Nuggets 122, Pacers 114

DENVER (AP) - Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points and the Denver Nuggets overcame the injury-related absences of Kenyon Martin and Ty Lawson to beat the Indiana Pacers.

J.R. Smith added 20 points off the bench and Chauncey Billups had 14 for the Nuggets, who sent the Pacers to their fifth loss in a row on the road.

Nene and Chris Andersen each added 13 points and they combined for 16 rebounds, helping to make up for the absence inside of Martin, who sat out with a recurrence of left knee tendinitis. Lawson, a key reserve, missed a third straight game with a bruised left shoulder.

Danny Granger led the Pacers with 32 points.

Spurs 102, Hornets 91

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Tony Parker scored 20 points and the San Antonio Spurs won their third straight, beating the New Orleans Hornets for the fourth time.

Manu Ginobili had 16 points and Keith Bogans scored 15 for the Spurs, who extended their longest winning streak in nearly two months and swept the season series from the Hornets for the second time in four seasons.

Rookie Darren Collison had 32 points for the Hornets, including 16 in the fourth quarter. But the Hornets still dropped their fourth straight, their longest skid of the season.

Thunder 104, Clippers 87

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Kevin Durant had 32 points and nine rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Clippers for their 13th victory in 16 games.

It was Durant's 35th game this season with 30 or more points, tying the franchise record Spencer Haywood set with the 1972-73 Seattle SuperSonics. The first-time All-Star, who has been playing leapfrog with LeBron James in their race for the NBA scoring title, came in trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers' star by one-tenth of a point per game. Chris Kaman had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers, who shot just 37.2 percent from the field.
