Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• John Zielinski, 42, a convenience store clerk from Carson City, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of South Curry Street on suspicion of felony burglary and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly stole a casino worker's jacket at a Carson Street casino. Police were able to identify him from surveillance video, and when arrested, he allegedly had methamphetamine on him, according to the report. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Kenneth Barksdale, 47, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of David Street on suspicion of felony possession of a drug without a prescription. Bail was set at $2,500.

• Shelly Roinestad, 47, of Carson City was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday at Pratt and Robinson streets on suspicion of felony burglary, providing false identification to avoid prosecution and a misdemeanor warrant. Bail was set at $28,000.

• A 56-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Caroline Street on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,132.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Accidents because of slick roads at College Parkway and Highway 50, Arrowhead and Centennial drives, Edmonds Drive and Snyder Avenue and Carson River Road and East Fifth Street.

• Battery report at Carson Middle School at 7:13 a.m.

• Report of a fraudulent check cashed by a Carson Street casino at 2:13 p.m.

• A Carson Middle School student was arrested at 2:59 p.m. for allegedly stealing money from a teacher.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Arrest on Penny Lane in Fernley at 12:05 a.m.

• A woman reported at 8:24 a.m. all of her car tires were slashed on Ramsey Street in Silver Springs.

• A Fernley woman on Primrose Drive reported at 4:44 p.m. that someone painted swastikas on her shed and tried to burn it down.

• DUI arrest on Highway 339 at Highgrade Road at 7:28 p.m. in Mason Valley.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded to Wednesday:

• Report at 3:34 p.m. of several horses near the road on State Route 341 at Cartwright Road.

• Report at 4:18 p.m. of several horses again near the road on State Route 341 at Cartwright Road.
