Following a search of a home on Mayflower Way today, investigators released the names of three Carson City men being sought for questioning in a shooting Sunday night on Champion Street.

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dena Lacy said officers are looking for Gregory Allen Kelly, 44; his son Gregory Allen Kelly, 23, and Antonio Gonzalez, 23.

According to Lacy, the three men were called to the Champion Street home in East Carson City on Sunday night by a woman who allegedly felt slighted because her boyfriend was smoking methamphetamine with another woman.

A fist fight allegedly ensued between the trio of men and two other men at the home around 10 p.m. One of the three men then allegedly pulled out a weapon and shot a 29-year-old man at least twice, said Lacy.

A neighbor on Champion Street called to report hearing five gunshots at 10:18 p.m., according to dispatch logs, but deputies were unable to locate the source.

At 12:40 a.m. the 29-year-old victim was dropped off at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper back and another to the hip.

It's believed at least eight people were present during the shooting, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.

After gathering information, officers watched the Kelly home, less than a block from the shooting, for more than 12 hours.

At about 4 p.m. police entered the home with a warrant in a search for a gun believed used in the shooting.

Lacy said the home was nearly empty of furnishings and it appeared the tenants were in the process of moving. No weapon was found.

Nevada Department of Corrections online records indicate both the elder Kelly and his son have served time in prison.

While the father appears to have served a year in prison for attempted theft in 2005, his son was apparently released from prison in January 2009 after serving at least two years on a charge of battery with intent to commit a crime, NDOC records indicate.

The younger Kelly was also arrested in February on a domestic battery charge.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Kelly or Gonzalez are asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 887-2007.
