We would like to thank our community for the support for our 2010 Fund Raiser. Our success enables us to continue conservation efforts, educational projects, and sponsorship of recreational and retreat programs for our area.

We especially want to express our gratitude to the contributors to our auction and raffles. Their generosity provided very nice prizes.

On behalf of the Dayton Valley Lions Club/Dog Park, we would like to thank the community for your support during the recent dog park fundraiser that was held at the 1st and 10 Bar and Grill in Dayton on March 4. Your participation was wonderful and brought in many new faces that evening. We also appreciate and are grateful to our "mystery servers" who used their charm and contributed their time to mingle with the enthusiastic crowd and spread the word about our dog park project.

We especially want to thank Jose Del Real, owner of the 1st and 10 Bar and Grill, for contributing 10 percent of the proceeds plus a generous bonus. The sum donated by Mr. Del Real was $250 from the $1600 in sales received that evening. Thanks to your community support we also received $240 in the donation box alone, for approximately $500 total for the event. We now have enough money to pay for the grading permits.

The board of directors for the DVLC/DP want to recognize the following groups for their support:

Dayton Valley Car Club, Dayton Valley Branch Library, Wild Horse Preservation League, Healthy Community Coalition/Food Bank, Coldwell Banker Best Sellers, Road Runner Restaurant, Dayton Valley Veterinary Hospital, Bakers Dozen Donuts, Community Treasures, Tru Hair Studio, Sierra Rose Floral and Gift, Misfits, Dayton Senior Center, Dayton Junior Chamber of Commerce, Dayton Valley Lions Club and Leos, Great Clips Hair Salon, Hollywood Video, Starbucks, Jasper Lane Bunco Babes, Great Basin Glass, Dayton Democrats

We also want to recognize Dennis Hof/Bunny Ranch, Stor-All and Dayton Florist for the use of their signs for advertising. The posters were done by Emily Gerhart, Isabella Hamlin and Samantha Cassillini. Behind the scenes, Georgian McPeters made many phone calls. We truly appreciate all of your support and look forward to seeing you at our next event. We are still in need of committee members, board members, and, as always, donations, made to any Greater Nevada Credit Union, under the name Dayton Valley Dog Park. Donations are tax deductible.
