Well, we see now that there is a "Coffee Party" (in answer to the "Tea Party"). It has gotten a lot of hits on the Internet. It will be interesting to watch. Made us wonder if other "parties" will be hitting the streets: The Milk Party (an "udderly" refreshing idea); the Soda Party (for "bubbly" personalities); the Herb Tea or Decaf parties (better for you and less controversial); the Sanka Party (for really old people who remember Sanka ... right); and the Champagne party, for those too isolated inside the Beltway who haven't got a clue about the "real" world, but who pass the laws anyway ... heck, make up your own party and enjoy.

She then decided to go back into the mall and get a coat hanger because she had seen that it worked on TV. As she was trying to open the door, she got a tap on her shoulder and a man asked, 'May I help you, ma'am?' Appreciating the help, she gave the man the coat hanger and he opened the door without a problem. As she thanked the man, she asked what he did for a living. He replied, 'I just got out of prison.' With that, she looked up to heaven again, and said, 'Thank you, God, for sending a professional.'"

We enjoyed lunch at Paradise Cove in the Carson Mall last week, and the China Bistro (the old Long John Silver's on South Carson Street). We still are looking for a German and Greek eatery to come along. Or how about a Red Lobster? One thing, in Carson City, you do not have to look far for good restaurants. By the way, for those of you who ask if we have an office in the Nevada Appeal, we don't. They prefer to deal with us at arm's length (snicker, snicker). Our "official" offices are in all the restaurants in town, or at least, that's where you'll find us.

On May 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall of the Brewery Arts Center, the Travis Brass, the chamber ensemble of the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West, will be performing Broadway hits, Dixieland and Big Band music. It's free, first come, first served. For information, call 883-1976. So go and enjoy this great group. Wild Horse Children's Theater is presenting a special Prince/Princess party for Disney's Aladdin, Jr. It will be May 15 at 2:30 p.m. at the Children's Museum, $20 per child (includes the play, a picture with Jasmine, and a tea party with prizes). Call 887-0438 for reservations, details about the party, and the play performance dates. It's a "whole new world..."
