The Food for Thought's annual spring fundraiser scheduled from 4-7 p.m. May 22 at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

The event, Coconuts for Kids Luau at the Governor's Mansion, will include hula dancers, Hawaiian-style barbecue, music and auction items.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Carson City Chamber on South Carson Street.

"The past few weeks, the program has provided weekend food to 700-plus children per week. The need continues to grow and we count on our fundraisers to help us buy the food we provide," said Peter Starren, programs director.
