Cancer information symposium offered

Carson City Cancer Center will host the program Cancer 101 - Looking Out for Skin Cancer at 4 p.m. May 27 at the cancer center, 1535 Medical Parkway, Carson City.

The free symposium is presented by board certified dermatologist, Dr. Jay Adams.

Stroke support group to meet at hospital

Carson Tahoe Stroke Survivors/Caretakers Support Group meets every second Thursday of the month from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, Bristlecone Room, 1600 Medical Parkway, Carson City.

This support group was created to help patients and those in our community cope with the challenges that come after suffering a stroke. Get ideas and strategies that may help with daily activities, and provide education about strokes and the recovery process. For more information, call 775-445-8548.
