UNITED STATES SENATOR

EDUARDO HAMILTON

Place of residence: Henderson

Email: ethamilton@gmail.com

Website: www.86reid.info

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

Co-founder and president of the Nevada Conservative McCarran Democrats, named after Sen. Patrick McCarran. I am an American entrepreneur who is totally committed to creating jobs and lithium mining development on Nevada federal land

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

Unless the economy gets much better for Nevadans, I will work for you for only $1 per year. The $174,000 senatorial salary will be donated to our brave Nevada troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The money will also be used to help the homeless.

America is heading toward a financial Armageddon unless we take draconian steps. To that end, I pledge to support a balanced budget constitutional amendment.

Why should voters choose you over other candidates?

I support recent Arizona tough immigration law enforcement and also enacting similar state law in Nevada. I am totally in opposition to amnesty.

I am also running as an anti-war peace candidate. I strongly support ending the two wars which are already costing $1 trillion lasting almost 10 years.

I want to be the champion for lithium mining in Nevada and on federal land. Lithium is the key to electric cars and trucks and the Battle Born state has an abundance of lithium.

B.S. business administration. I served on the board of directors for a local chapter of the National Association of Purchasing Managers.

I constantly hear that our senator is great and powerful and that we shouldn't replace him because a new senator would be "less influential." The simple fact is that most of our senator's donations come from out of state. We have no influence or weight in his consideration or his agenda. So, it matters not at all how powerful he is. If we had a junior senator, we would have some influence over him and the new great and powerful party leader would be looking to buy his vote, instead of our senator buying other state's votes at the expense of Nevadans.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

The economy is under assault and much of it lies in ruin. Our government has an insatiable greed for money and power. Any business sector that was profitable was demonized and taxed and regulated into depression. As a result, unemployment is close to 10 percent, bankruptcies and foreclosures are effecting every neighborhood. We cannot spend our way to wealth or legislate prosperity for the working person, much less the non-working person. It is time to stop buying votes for incumbents with public monies and time to start rebuilding our economy.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

Some people suggest that we Nevadans are spoiled, evil consumers of too much of the world's resources and we need to be brought down to earth.

I say we are a good and kind people who work hard and give generously to our neighbors in time of need. We need to regain our self respect and start to stand up for our rights against those who denigrate us.

Senator, United State Senate, 1986-present. Senate Majority Leader, 2006-present. Representative, United States House of Representatives, 1982-1986. Nevada Lieutenant Governor, 1970-1974. Nevada State Assembly, 1968-1970. Former Chair, American Cancer Society. Former Chair, Nevada Gaming Commission, 1977-1981. Nevada State Bar Association

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

In Nevada and across our nation, we need strong leaders that stand up for our families and our communities. We need leaders committed to providing our children with high quality education, to making sure more families have access to affordable health care, to safeguarding benefits for seniors and veterans, and to keeping our neighborhoods safe.

We live in serious times and we face serious challenges. Our state deserves leaders with the experience and determination to get the job done.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

Growing up in Searchlight, my parents taught me timeless lessons about the value of hard work, the importance of helping those in need, and never giving up. Throughout my life - from my days as Henderson City Attorney to my current role as Senate Majority Leader - I have used these principles to guide my actions.

U.S. REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS DISTRICT 2

DENIS SAM DEHNE

Phone: 775-825-1398

E-mail: renocitizen@gmail.com

Website: www.unclesamforcongress.com

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

As the citizen watchdog of Nevada, Sam Dehne has testified at more than 2,000 public meetings with well over 5,000 documented public testimonies exposing wrongful actions of public officials.

At the United States Air Force Academy, Dehne swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. He states that he has run into more domestic enemies than foreign.

Dehne has lived in Reno for 43 years. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1962. Dehne flew B-52 bombers in the Air Force before becoming a pilot with Pan American World Airways in 1967.

Dehne has spent the last 15 years as the most vocal and effective political watchdog in Northern Nevada.

Dehne's ubiquitous presence at government podiums has made him a household name. The public officials he oversees dare not try to stop a man with Sam's outstanding credentials from speaking (or singing) his mind. Sam is an accomplished musician/entertainer and often takes his guitar to the Public podiums to sing his Complaints.

Dehne's well-thought-out ideas and proposals have saved Nevada and America many dozens of millions of dollars. His B-52 fuel management program created in 1967 has saved U.S. taxpayers over a billion dollars.

Dehne is also a long-time, world class, volunteer entertainer. He has performed over 1,000 charity concerts for seniors and veterans.

Dehne is not a lawyer. Dehne has never asked for nor accepted any pay for his crusade.

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

I am a native born Nevadan, who worked my way through college and law school working nights and weekends as a bellman and a waiter.

I know what it takes to raise yourself up by your own bootstraps and to be independent. My father worked in the casinos and my mother was the eternal optimist. She is where I derived my can-do-anything attitude. She taught me to believe in the future and that no matter how difficult the moment, tomorrow would be a brighter day. She was right. I have been blessed with a extremely successful solo law practice for the last 30 years.

My work has always been on behalf of the working person, the under represented and those who need justice.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

As a Nevada representative in Washington I will abide by those underlying principles that have always been central to my character and my life's work. I will represent the people of Nevada first and foremost, not the Corporations or the party dogma that has Washington so dysfunctional.

The most important issues facing Nevada and our nation is whether we can have a functioning government in Washington that can get the job done for all our citizens. The petty bickering and the just say "no" politics of obstruction are unacceptable. Politicians in Washington are getting paid to work for us. Doing nothing is stealing their paychecks. In the real world they would be fired.

We can demand more. We can make the federal government fiscally responsible and accountable. We need Individuals that are independent of the moneyed influences. The current representative is an empty suit who votes lock step, high-step with the party dogma and does not represent the unique individual interest of Nevadans.

I will represent Nevadans interest first and always, clear and simple.

I retired after 24 years as chief master sergeant from the Reno Air National Guard. I wrote curriculum on leadership for the Air Force which is still used today.

I attended 11 sessions at the Nevada State Legislature assisting my husband, former Assemblyman Bob Price. I proposed and lobbied for legislation. One example is publishing of proposed legislation which is now available online

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

Passage of the health care bill is a start to a healthy and educated population. These are elements of military power. I think of it as a defense bill.

To address the deficit, loopholes must be addressed. I'm referring to Warren Buffet's statement that he pays a lesser percentage than his secretary. Exxon pays virtually nothing. The fraud perpetrated on the world must be brought to justice and the money seized to pay victims. The Glass-Steagall Act should be put back into law so we can trust the banks again.

Join me in a movement to return our Constitution to its original intent that "We the people" means natural persons not corporations. This would change our government in the direction I believe both Republicans and Democrats want to see with regards to corporate contributions.

We must bring our troops home and look at the redundancy in the military budget.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

We must invest in businesses that create jobs and independence from foreign oil. This is done by increasing Nevada's privately owned land and investing in clean energy. We must protect Nevada's ranchers and farmers. No pipelines sending agriculture water in the north to southern Nevada.

We need courage and good ideas not more gridlock. "No" is not a policy or a platform. When I swore to protect and defend with my life, I hoped for solutions not conflict.

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

I am passionate about Nevada and its potential - but that potential is being squandered without a vision for what Nevada could be, or a plan to get there.

I've been an attorney and successful business executive, and currently lead the board of one of the largest and most complex county governments in the nation, providing services to more than 2 million residents.

Clark County's nearly $7 billion budget is almost as large as the state's general fund. For seven years I have balanced the budget without raising taxes. I led the effort to crack down on lobbying, prevent conflicts of interest, and eliminate gifts to elected officials.

In the past year I've met hardworking people who are leaving the state because they've lost their job, or worry their kids don't have access to a quality education. I believe I can help change the situation. It's a challenge I welcome.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

It's clear renewing our commitment to education is the only way to attract new jobs and rebuild our economy.

As governor, I'll stand up to anyone who shortchanges education. I'll stand up to anyone who refuses to reform and strengthen our schools. I'll never give up on our schools, our children or Nevada's future.

That's why I've introduced EDGE - Economic Development through Great Education. It is designed to transform education in our state and outlines an entirely new approach. It gives freedom and responsibility directly to the schools, ensures standardized test scores aren't the only measure of success, outlines steps to ensure world-class teachers lead every classroom, gives parents the power to choose the school that is right for their child and it ends classroom micromanagement by Carson City.

There is nothing more important than tackling our challenges in education.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

I am the only candidate to offer plans of substance in the race - on the economy, education and ethics. The other candidates in the governor's race have only proposed more of the same - more cuts to our education system and no vision for the long-term future of our state.

Nevada is at a crossroads and it's the responsibility of those seeking public office to lay out a clear, honest plan for Nevada and follow it with the detailed steps we need to take. I will continue to provide details of how we move Nevada forward in education, economic development, clean energy, and many other areas.

I will continue traveling all over Nevada, talking with people about what's going on in their workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. The conversations will continue. Nevada's future is bright. It's time for an experienced, successful leader to take Nevada forward into the 21st century.

Education: University of Tulsa - business degree in finance and international business from the University of Tulsa.

I serve on the Nevada Advisory Committee of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition along with distinguished group of business, community, and political leaders in Northern and Southern Nevada.

I'm the Founder of the Young Philanthropist Society of the United Way of Southern Nevada. Board member since 2009 for Environmental Media Association, member of the steering committee for Global Green USA since 2008, and served on the foundation board of directors for Opportunity Village in 2006-2009. Also a member of the Nevada Committee on Foreign Relations from 2002-2008, member of the board of directors from 2004-2008.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

I am running for lieutenant governor because I know what it takes to start with nothing and make it on your own without relying on anyone's money or connections. Many of you have had that experience or are having to start over due to the economic crises in our state. As a Democrat and someone who has been blessed by being a Nevadan and an American, I am running to make sure all Nevadans are able to pursue their American dream!

Lieutenant governor is like a chief development officer for the state, presiding over the Economic Development and Tourism commissions. For more than 10 years I have done exactly that - business development and marketing for my own business and for multinational companies in Europe, Asia, and South America.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

As your next lieutenant governor, I will implement my 50-50 Plan where I will go after the 50 largest domestic companies and 50 largest global companies to come to Nevada as ideal location for their corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, and warehouse and distribution centers to create good paying jobs here.

I will work to expand tourism by working to have more direct international flights to Las Vegas, connect us with California by high speed train, and bring winter Olympics to the Reno-Tahoe area. Also, I will work on creating green sector jobs by making sure we become a leader in renewable clean energy.

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

I am serving my third term on the Reno City Council.

I graduated from Sparks High School with honors. I am currently in the process of obtaining a certified public official program certificate from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have completed courses towards a bachelor's degree at Truckee Meadows Community College and the University of Nevada, Reno.

President, Nevada League of Cities; board member of the Reno Housing Authority; member of the Human Services Consortium, City of Reno; member, City of Reno Audit Committee; member of the Finance Committee for the Building Enterprise Fund; member of the Committee for the Revitalization of Oliver/Montello Neighborhood; liaison: Affordable Housing Task Force; liaison: Youth City Council; liaison: Ward 3 Neighborhood Advisory Board; liaison: Ward 4 Northeast Neighborhood Advisory Board; liaison Four Steps to the Future

My colleagues from across the state elected me president of the Nevada League of Cities.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

I am a lifelong Democrat and I'm running for lieutenant governor because we need real leadership to turn Nevada's economy around. With staggering unemployment and the highest foreclosure rate in the country, we need to diversify our economy and bring new jobs to Nevada - now!

I serve as a Reno councilwoman and am quite proud of my record of progressive achievement on the council. We have made great strides in creating jobs, protecting neighborhoods and the environment, fighting for equal rights and diversifying our economy.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidates?

The office of lieutenant governor is a natural extension of my public service. My highest priorities are reflective of the mission of the office - diversifying and stabilizing the state's economy while promoting tourism. I will bring my proven experience and Democratic sensibilities to the job and I am fully prepared to hit the ground running.
