RENO (AP) - Reno police say they've arrested a woman who allegedly tried to snatch a 7-month-old baby from her mother's arms at a downtown bus station.

Police say the mother was carrying her daughter in a front-facing carrier on her chest when 41-year-old Linda Flores allegedly grabbed the baby by the arm Tuesday afternoon, saying the little girl belonged to her.

Authorities say the woman struck the mother before a security officer at the bus station intervened.

Neither the mother nor baby was injured.

Police say Flores was arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnapping, child abuse and battery.
