The Pac-10 has reprimanded Arizona State coach Dennis Erickson for publicly criticizing the officials in the Sun Devils' loss to No. 7 Stanford on Saturday.

Erickson told the Arizona Republic on Sunday that he was frustrated about a facemask call on Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict during Stanford's winning drive in the fourth quarter of its 17-13 victory.

The coach said he was frustrated Burfict was called for a penalty he didn't commit and that an official who couldn't see the play made the call. He also questioned why the officials didn't get together to discuss the call.

The Pac-10 acknowledged the wrong call was made, but stood behind the officials' decision to hit Burfict with a subsequent unsportsmanlike penalty immediately after.
