State Treasurer Kate Marshall says the Kenny Guinn Memorial Millennium Scholarship Fund has now surpassed $100,000 in donations.

The fund was established by former first lady Dema Guinn after the death of her husband Kenny. Gov. Guinn created the Millennium Scholarship program in 1999 after his election as governor.

The program, which provides scholarship money to attend the Nevada System of Higher Education to all high school graduates in the state with a B average or better, has so far served more than 60,000 students.

Marshall said donations totaled $104,930 as of Nov. 17.

Those wishing to donate to the fund can contact the treasurer's office at 101 N. Carson St., Suite 4 in Carson City or donate directly to the Kenny Guinn Memorial Millennium Scholarship Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, account number 1710741958.
