130 YEARS AGO

A sad incident (continued from Tuesday): The wound: Drs. White and Lee reached the sufferer and found the ball had entered the left side and passed out near the spine. The wound was dangerous but not fatal. Mr. Crawford is suffering much more than his friend and dazed over the unfortunate affair.

Mr. Meder's condition: Mr. Meder rested quite easily without fever or inflammation. If symptoms hold out a few days longer, he will be beyond danger. He in no way holds Mr. Crawford responsible for the accident.

120 YEARS AGO

All sorts: Dick Roberts was recently arrested on complaint of his father, for kicking up a disturbance on the premises. (Dick Roberts lived at the Roberts House, now a Museum, and was known for his paranormal activities.)

70 YEARS AGO

Advertisement: "Sprouse Reitz Grand opening - Candy Bars 3 for 10 cents, Harveys gum 4 for 10 cents, salted peanuts pound 15 cents."

50 YEARS AGO

Advertisement: "Thanksgiving at Carson Hot Springs Casino - Young Tom Turkey with all the trimmings $2.50, Roast prime rib of choice beef $3.75."

20 YEARS AGO

Auto insurance rates continue to climb and rose an average of 47 percent from 1984. In 1988, the average premium in Nevada was $691.05 and in 1984 it was $418.99.

10 YEARS AGO
