Health Inspections

The following health inspections are for the period of Sept. 14-17:

• Carson Lanes Eleventh Frame Lounge, 4600 Snyder Ave., scored 100 points.

• Wally's Pizza & Subs Restaurant, 4600 Snyder Ave. #D, scored 95 points. Found meatballs and spaghetti sauce holding at 126 F for more than four hours.

• Genoa Candy and Coffee Restaurant, 4600 Snyder Ave. #DC, scored 100 points.

• Maverik #409 Convenience Store, 1451 College Parkway, scored 100 points.

• Seven Eleven #22629 Convenience Store, scored 97 points. Cut tomatoes and onions are holding on the condiment make-up unit at 52 F. Cooked hot dogs are holding on the grill at 113-128 F, surface temperature, and 135 F internal temperature. Observed food handling tongs in the basin of the hand sink at the front service counter.

• Lifestream Health Foods Retail Grocery, 101 Hot Springs Road #1A, scored 100 points.

• Sonic Drive In Restaurant, 1856 E. College Parkway, scored 98 points. The basins of the 3-C sink are not properly set up for dish washing. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces do not contain sanitizer residual.

• Julie's Mini Market Convenience Store, 1891 E. Long St., scored 100 points.

• Carson Stadium Cinemas Restaurant, 2571 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Carson Nugget Garden Cafe Restaurant, 507 N. Carson St., scored 98 points. Ice scoop is not stored properly. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces are not clean, do not contain sanitizer residual or are not used properly.

• Carson Nugget Restaurant Main Kitchen, 507 N. Carson St., scored 92 points. Unpackaged seafood found in direct contact with undrained ice. Kitchenware of food-contact surface of equipment are not sanitized. Two out of three dishwashers without proper levels of sanitizer.

• Sierra Joe's Restaurant, 444 E. William St. #6, scored 100 points.

• The Cracker Box Restaurant, 402 E. William St., scored 100 points.

• Tito's Restaurant, 444 E. William St., scored 100 points.

• Tito's Restaurant Bar/Lounge, 444 E. William St., scored 100 points.

• Bella Fiore Wines Restaurant, 224 S. Carson St. #8, scored 100 points.

• Walmart Supercenter #3408 Meat Department, 3200 Market St., scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #552 Deli Department, 3620 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #552 Meat Department, 3620 N. Carson St., scored 99 points. Found no measurable Quat sanitizer in either the buckets or the spray bottles.

• Safeway #2247 Meat Department, 2035 N. Carson St., scored 99 points. The following areas of the meat department floor need repairs: the hole in the linoleum just inside the walk-in, the hole in the coving in the cutting room, The perimeter of the packing room floor where the linoleum is split, as it bends upward to form coving.

• Safeway #2247 Bakery, 2035 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Safeway #2247 Retail Grocery, 2035 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Safeway #2247 Produce Department, 2035 N. Carson St., scored 96 points. Found pink biofilm buildup on the sprayer heads above the produce displays. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Safeway #2247 Deli Department, 2035 N. Carson St., scored 92 points. Found sliced tomatoes, cheese spreads and avocado spread holding at 54.5 F internal and surface temperature at the sandwich make-up. A partial area of the circular cheese display unit is holding products at 58-60 F surface temperature of the products. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Mom & Pop's Diner Restaurant, 224 S. Carson St., scored 91 points. No chlorine residual was detected on dishware after mechanical final rinse. Foods, meats, were found separated into smaller packages that did not have labels as required with the name and date. There was no currently certified food handler present at the time of this inspection. There were no "No Smoking" signs posted at the entrances.

• Mom & Pop's Diner Restaurant, 224 S. Carson St. The critical violation "No detectable chlorine in final rinse" from the routine inspection earlier in the day has been corrected.

• B & E Catering Mobile Food Vehicle, Catering Vehicle, 1020 Mountain St., scored 100 points.
