WAC: Jenkins leads La. Tech to 48-35 win

RUSTON, La. (AP) - Ross Jenkins threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and Louisiana Tech had 678 yards of offense in a 48-35 win over Idaho on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (3-4, 2-1 Western Athletic Conference) needed their fifth-highest offensive total in school history as the Vandals (3-3, 0-1) totaled 526 offensive yards.

Louisiana Tech trailed 14-10 midway through the second quarter, but answered with three straight scores by Jenkins.

Jenkins threw a 32-yard TD pass to Ahmad Paige, ran for a 4-yard score and threw a 7-yard touchdown to Paige for a 31-14 lead.

Jenkins was 31-for-44 for 417 yards, Rich Casey caught nine passes for 117 yards and Lennon Carter added 179 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for the Bulldogs.

Nathan Enderle had 365 yards and three touchdowns on 24-for-50 passing for the Vandals and Justin Veltung had six catches for 141 yards and four touchdowns.

Fresno State 33,

New Mexico State 10.

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Robbie Rouse rushed for a season-high 150 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night as Fresno State defeated New Mexico State 33-10.

Rouse ran for scores of 57 and 38 yards in the first half and Ryan Colburn completed 12 of 20 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown for Fresno State (4-2, 2-1 WAC). The Bulldogs scored all but three of their points in the first half.

Seth Smith had 91 rushing yards on 11 carries for New Mexico State (1-5, 0-2). The Aggies were held out of the end zone until Kenny Turner's 19-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter.

Chris Carter led the Bulldogs' defense with nine tackles and three sacks, including two forced fumbles.
