Nevada Appeal Staff Report

The Pine Nut Mountains Trails Association will hold its annual trail cleanup day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in the area at the east end of Johnson Lane north to the Mexican Dam area.

Volunteers are invited to help pick up trash and move it with pickup trucks and trailers to onsite dumpsters. Bring gloves, hats and sunscreen, and wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors. They will have trash bags on hand, but additional donated bags will be appreciated.

Lunch and water will be provided. Volunteers can meet and park at either the north or south end of the cleanup area.

At the north end go to the OHV/Equestrian staging area off Mexican Dam Road in the Silver Saddle Ranch. At the south end, turn east on Stephanie Lane from Highway 395 and head to the end of the road.

Keep going as Stephanie turns to dirt and then go left when the road forks and proceed to the Equestrian Trail Head.

Detailed information and maps are available at http://pnmta.org, or e-mail cleanup@pnmta.org.
