North Idaho Community College won Saturday's Scenic West Athletic Conference tripleheader against Western Nevada 13-9, 9-4 and 12-4.

WNC returns home this Friday to play Snow College in a four-game series at Edmonds Sports Complex.

"We hung in there with them," WNC coach Leah Wentworth said. "We actually out-hit them in the middle game. We hit the ball well. We had some opportunities, but had some mental errors on the bases that took us out of innings.

"It was a long day. We were out there for nine errors. We don't have the depth or pitching to do that."

In the first game, Ashley Hall and Tera Tibbitts combined to drive in seven of the nine runs. Hall went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs, while Tibbitts hit a three-run homer. Mel Pfeiffer went 3-for-4 in a losing effort.

In the second game, Ashley Gleason went 2-for-3, while Jordan Thomas, Megan Hein and Cassie Vondrak all went 2-for-4. Tibbitts had a hit and RBI.

In the finale, Vondrak was the top hitter, going 3-for-3 with a three-run HR. No other player had more than one hit.
