Leroy A. Winters, 88, passed away August 23, 2011 in Carson City. He was born to Paul and Pearl Winters on August 17, 1923 in Dakota, California.
He was a loving husband and father of four, with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Leroy was a veteran of WWII and was active in logging, land development and construction before his retirement. He made Carson City his home for more than 40 years.
Leroy was a founder and leading member of Carson Sertoma.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia; son, Daniel Winters; daughters, Lucinda Newell, Stephanie Wilson and Melinda Hamilton.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be Friday, August 26, 2011 from 4:00-7:00pm at the family home in Carson City. Autumn Funeral & Cremation is handling arrangements. 775-888-6800
