The following information applies to the period of Jan. 3-9:

The inauguration for incoming Gov. Brian Sandoval will take place Monday. The following road closures will occur as a result of the events during the inauguration.

• Carson Street will be closed between Fifth Street and Robinson Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Musser Street will be closed between Carson Street and Stewart Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there will be no parking allowed on Musser Street at this location until after

1 p.m.

• Plaza Street will become a two-way street between Musser Street and Telegraph Street for the hours of 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. only, to accommodate the use of the parking garage at City Hall.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Plaza Street will be open to northbound traffic only between Musser Street and Proctor Street due to construction activity at the northwest corner of Musser and Plaza.

Though it will not be effective during the dates listed above, an advance notice is being issued at this time that Koontz Lane will be reopening between Edmonds Drive and Raglan Circle on Jan. 10.

After Koontz Lane has been opened, Clearview Drive will close between Edmonds Drive and Line Drive as a result of construction due to the next phase of the Nevada Department of Transportation project on the freeway.

Weather pending, expect single-lane closures and minor delays in the areas of Edmonds Drive at Koontz Lane and at Clearview Drive at that time as changes to the detour routes and traffic control modifications are made.
