A Confidence Man: Carson had an immunity for this class of evil until a few days ago when a man calling himself Meyer presented himself with a letter proclaiming a dying wife in San Francisco without the money necessary to go see her. The only victim so far was Senator Powning from Washoe.

In the Senate this morning Senator Holmes introduced a bill which if passed would prevent the marriage of Japanese and whites. It also prohibits marriage between Asiatic and white, Indian and white.

The Smith Valley-Dayton basketball game has been disapproved by the State Health Officer following an outbreak of typhoid fever at Dayton.

A resident of the Cottonwood Trailer Court was wounded in an exchange of bullets with his ex-wife. The woman used a .22 caliber, wounding him twice in the leg.
