Another storm system is expected to bring snow to region by Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologist Steve Vanderburg said highs today and Friday will be near 50 with lows at night in the mid-20s.

"Snow will move into the Sierra during the day Friday," he said. "Amounts could be over a foot of snow in the Sierra and then even down here in the valley we might see a little bit of snow, we're not expecting a whole lot."

About an inch is expected to fall Friday night with a slight chance of flurries or rain on Saturday and Sunday.
