The following information applies to the period of May 30-June 5:
Due to a special event, Carson Street will be closed between Fifth Street and William Street, and Curry Street will be closed between Fifth Street and Robinson Street on Saturday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon.
All east-west streets that intersect Carson Street between Fifth Street and Robinson Street also will be closed for one block on the west side of Carson Street. In addition, Musser Street will be closed between Stewart Street and Curry Street.
On Thursday, utility work will occur on Research Way south of College Parkway. Lane closures are possible, and motorists are advised to use Goni Road to access this area.
Sidewalk improvements will continue along Long Street between Molly Drive and Saliman Road. JAC bus stops in this area may be temporarily closed.
There will be shoulder work at the intersection of Fifth Street and Butti Way. No lane closures are expected.
Clearview Drive is closed between Edmonds Drive and Line Drive for construction on the next phase of the Nevada Department of Transportation freeway project. Detours are marked. The road is expected to reopen by November.
