A body found inside a vehicle that rolled 90 feet down an embankment on Monday is believed to be that of a missing Bodie Flats resident, 56-year-old Patricia Loraine Bosch.

Bosch was last seen when she left her home on Nov. 2 to drive to the FISH store in Carson City. Bosch was reported missing by her family on Veterans Day.

The vehicle found along the East Fork of the Carson River below Power Dam Road matches the description of Bosch's green 1986 Ford pickup with a white camper shell.

Douglas County authorities enlisted a bulldozer Tuesday morning to flip the pickup over and tow it out of the brush.

Firefighters had to remove the roof of the pickup to remove the body from the wreckage.

Investigators were not able to positively identify the person inside the pickup as Bosch, said Sgt. Jim Halsey, spokesman for the Douglas County Sheriff's Department. Her body was taken to the Washoe County Coroner's Office for fingerprinting and autopsy.

Investigators think the pickup was traveling on Power Dam Road when it hit some loose dirt along the edge of the roadway that gave way, causing the vehicle to roll down the hill. Vegetation along the riverside made the vehicle difficult to spot from the road.

Deputies remained at the scene of the accident through Monday night. The vehicle was found by people who noticed personal items lying on the ground and called authorities.
