A three member panel of Nevada's supreme court takes to the road today and tomorrow to hear arguments in Lincoln and Nye counties.
It will be the first time the court has ever heard cases in Lincoln. As part of the visit to Panaca, the justices will participate in a presentation by the Nevada Judicial Historical
Society of a plaque honoring that county's first district judge George Berry who presided in 1866 when Lincoln County was created. It will be the court's second visit to Tonopah in Nye County.
Justices Michael Cherry, Mark Gibbons and Kris Pickering will hear cases in Panaca today and Tonopah tomorrow.
The court has held oral arguments at a number of high schools around the state as part of its education and outreach efforts. So far this year, the court has visited Pahrump, Las Vegas's Adelson Educational Campus and Reno High School.
In each case, they met in a local high school which Justice Cherry said provides students a unique educational opportunity.
