After three games on the sidelines with a calf injury, Carson High's Dylan Sawyers is expected to see playing time in tonight's game (7:30 p.m.) at Galena.

Sawyers played in the first three games, rushing for 565 yards and 11 scores and catching nine passes for 153 yards and two scores. He missed Carson's wins against Douglas, Spanish Springs and Damonte Ranch.

Sawyers , who is ahead of his recovery schedule, is anxious to get back on the field.

"I wasn't exactly sure when I would get back," Sawyers said. "I couldn't stand being out any longer."

Carson coach Blair Roman said that Sawyers wouldn't start, but estimates he'll probably get about 10 carries. More than likely his only playing time will come on the offensive side of the ball.

"I think the guys are happy to have him back," said center-guard Aaron Spurlock.
