A second meeting to establish a "vision" for the Carson City School District will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carson Middle School.

At the first meeting, on Aug. 13, nearly 70 parents, teachers, city leaders and others joined for a brainstorming session. Organizers have compiled all of the suggestions from that meeting and will present them Tuesday. Participants will then meet in small groups to decide how bring those suggestions to fruition.

All members of the public are welcome.

The process of creating a vision was spurred by Ron Swirczek, a member of the Carson City School Board.

"We have to know where we're going," Swirczek has said. "It's not about where we are."

Participants should park in the lot with the solar array and enter the school through the west doors.
